                                                      Preliminary Notice


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the preliminary budget for the Town of Richfield for the fiscal year 2026 has been completed and filed in the Office of the Town Clerk at the Town Hall, 18 E. James St. in Richfield Springs, NY where it is available for inspection by interested persons during regular business hours of the Clerk or email the Clerk for a copy at Clerk@Richfieldny.com or on the Town Website at Townofrichfieldny.com.
FURTHER NOTICE is hereby given that the Richfield Town Board will meet and review said preliminary budget and hold a public hearing thereon at the Richfield Town Hall, 18 E. James St. Richfield Springs, NY on November 3, 2025 at 6:00 PM, and at such hearing any person may be heard in favor or against said preliminary budget as complied or against any item or items containing therein. Pursuant of Section 108 of the Town Law, proposed salaries of the following elected officials are hereby specified:
   Supervisor $13,837.00
   Town Clerk/Collector $20,074.00        
   Councilperson (4) at $2,275.00
   Highway Superintendent $66,010.00

NY Forward Strategic Investment Plan

                                   Local Planning Committee (LPC)

The LPC is co-chaired by Larry Frigault, Town of Richfield Supervisor and Carolyn A. Lewis, Director of Legislative Affairs & Grants for Bassett Medical Center and Mohawk Valley REDC Board Member and consists of 11 other members representing a diverse cross section of the Richfield community.

The Town of Richfield was selected by the Mohawk Valley Regional Economic Development Council (REDC) to receive a $4.5 million award from New York State Governor Kathy Hochul through the NY Forward (NYF) program. Investment from this program will allow Richfield to develop a Strategic Investment Plan (SIP) and implement key catalytic projects to advance the community’s vision for downtown improvements.

NY Forward is led by the Department of State, in close partnership with Empire State Development, NYS Homes and Community Renewal, and New York State Energy Research and Development Authority. For more information, please visit https://www.ny.gov/programs/ny-forward.
