PLANNING BOARD MEETING

The regular meeting of the Town of Richfield Planning Board was held on Monday, May 12, 2014, at the Richfield Town Hall.  The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Chairman Urtz.  Other board members in attendance were Andela, Sullivan, and alternate Harris.  Board member Woodrow arrived right after the vote on the minutes.

Motion to accept minutes of the April 14, 2014, meeting by Sullivan, second by Andela.  Andela – yes, Sullivan – yes, Urtz – yes.

The board discussed GIS mapping available on both the Otsego County website and the state DEC site.  Board member Andela brought up the county site on her laptop so board members could see the options the site offers for public access.  There is a possibility that the Planning Board may ask the county for more detailed access to better review plans brought before the board.  Board member Sullivan logged on to the DEC site so the board could see those options.  The DEC site has all the SEQR forms, a handbook, cookbook (flow chart), and workbook.  These must be accessed on line.  The state does not provide hard copies.  The DEC also has the Environmental Resource Mapper that Board member Woodrow used to find his property.

Board member Sullivan has received a grant from Antioch College to attend a planning conference on climate change.
