TOWN BOARD MEETING

A special meeting of the Richfield Town Board was held on Monday, August 26, 2013, for the purpose of moving money to pay for the repairs to the River Street Bridge.  The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Enjem at 5:30 PM at the Richfield Town Hall.  Other board members in attendance were Bond, Seamon, and Snyder.

The supervisor has spoken with both the State Comptroller’s office and Attorney Merzig.  One option is to take the money from the DA fund balance and move into bridges contractual or if we decide to take it out of the bridge reserve fund, we do not need a permissive referendum.  The reserve fund is not for a specific bridge so we can use it for River Street.

Board member Seamon and Highway Superintendent Kress both agree that leaving the original motion of 08/19/2013 is acceptable.

Motion by Seamon, second by Bond to Motion to transfer $25,000.00 from the Bridge Reserve Account to DA5120.4 to help pay for the River Street Bridge.  Board member Bond again asked for clarification to be certain that we do not need the permissive referendum.  Bond – yes, Seamon – yes, Snyder – yes, Enjem – yes.

Supervisor Enjem distributed letters to board members concerning the alternate member of the Planning Board voting.

Motion to adjourn at 5:44 PM by Snyder, second by Seamon.  Bond – yes, Seamon – yes, Snyder – yes, Enjem – yes.
