PLANNING BOARD MEETING

The regular meeting of the Town of Richfield Planning Board was held on Monday, June 10, 2013, at the Richfield Town Hall.  The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM b chairman Urtz.  Other board members in attendance were Sylvester, Szeflinski, and alternate Harris, Board members Andela and Woodrow were absent.

The Otsego Land Trust will hold a dedication on Deowonga Island on Saturday, June 22, 2013.

Motion by Szeflinski, second by Harris to approve minutes of the May 13, 2013, meeting.  Sylvester – yes, Szeflinski – yes, Harris – yes, Urtz – yes

Fred Eckler addressed the board about a possible lot line change involving his property on Union Street and another parcel that extends from State Highway 28 to the border of his property on Union Street.  Both parcels are less than one acre, therefore are non-conforming parcels per our Land Use and Building Management Ordinance.  There is a building on the parcel bordering State Highway 28 and the proposed lot line change will not allow the rear yard setback to be met.  Motion by Sylvester, second by Szeflinski to recommend that Mr. Eckler go to the Land Use Board of Appeals meeting next week and speak to them about a variance.  Sylvester – yes, Szeflinski – yes, Harris – yes, Urtz – yes.
